Some Package Deals

I heard some good deals on the price of few netbooks I’ve been looking at for some time. My laptop will be on it’s first year birthday exactly two months from now and I’m perfectly contented with it. I’m eyeing the netbook for special someone thus the reason for eyeing some super discounted sale. When I bought my HP laptop last year I was really overwhelmed with some package deals offered by various stores. 

My hubby’s company store offered a package with printer and few high-end models with ipod nano included on their package deals. I was excited about the promo deals but ended up buying my original choice because I realized that I don’t need those things included in the package. It’s just a waste of money to buy things you don’t need for the moment.

Investment or Business?

When your family is getting bigger or your kids are growing up fast you need to think of ways on how to augment the family’s finances. You need to provide your kids not only with the utmost love and attention but of the things they need like good life and education. They need good education so even if you grow old you’ll never worry about their future. That’s what we’re thinking about now that two of our kids will be in secondary education this coming school year. 

We really need to think of good investment like buying precious metals like silver bars or gold but this one should be planned carefully as it involve big amount of finances. Anyway now that we don’t have enough money for that kind of investment we might as well push through with our current small business plan of selling wholesale fruits from our provincial hometown.

Balancing My Work Schedule

I was quite busy these days and I’m thankful that DH has started his school break this week. The kids are all on their fourth quarter exams and few days more they will have their summer vacation. It’s just the right timing for my part-time work which I’ve started this month. It’s actually just a help on documentations, forms, agreements and some things on business start-up. I like doing it now compared to when I was still working because I somehow missed my work and the person who asked me to work on it. It’s a nice feeling to meet up again with office friends you’ve worked with for several years and doing the work you’ve accustomed doing. 

My work simply involves the things I’ve done in my past employment and not about anything I’m foreign about. Now I’ve got loads of online tasks to finish and I’m planning to work overtime or overnight to lighten my load. I was just thinking if I’ll be working hard in the following days to come I may have some questions to my friend on how to get rid of dark circles because that’s my biggest problem when I sleep late or when I don’t sleep at all. It’s always like that for me after series of sleeping late at night. Anyway I can recover easily because my time is flexible and I can take short naps on not-so-busy days. I learned how to balance my time, rest and sleep with my online work now.

Thick and Strong Hair

My daughters are growing up so fast and little by little I’m seeing some of myself in them especially the younger girl because she looks like me and her ways are more like me when I was her age. I noticed though that her hair is a lot thicker than mine but the same kind of long straight tresses. I like thicker hair because they have less possibility of getting thinner when they grow old. Well, I know that these days it’s not so much of a problem because there are solutions like best hair loss products but it’s always more comfortable not to use any treatment if you can help it. 

I remember my father had problems with receding hair and I’m seeing the same problem with my brother. I guess it’s the genes so I’m watching over my kids to see if they inherit the same weakness in hair. If it’s on the male side only I have to watch my little boy because he strongly resembles me and my brother . But if Josh inherited my husband’s side he’ll be worry-free. Hubby got thick and strong hair.

This is our favorite place when we want to relax and rest from the bustle of city life.  This is Tagaytay Picnic Grove, a park with a breathtaking view of Taal lake and volcano.  This park is nestled  at the slopes of Tagaytay Ridge and has a mild temperature because of the high altitude. All around the park are  lushes of green plants, trees and grass that's why I've chosen this one as my entry to Thursday Challenge.  This place is a popular destination for students on field trips, couples, tourists, local and foreign visitors and groups like us.  It has cottages, camp areas where we frequent most, playgrounds, restaurants and function halls.  We often stay on  picnic tables and sheds and do some grill cooking there.

Family All Inclusive Vacations

We're now planning for our summer camp meeting next month in time for the Holy Week season. We always do our summer camp meeting fellowship every year and we hold it in faraway provinces just like we're having a vacation at the same time. None.  I can't seem to think one actor that would look ridiculous as a leprechaun or a scary one and if ever I'd come up with one I'd rather not say it lol!

It's Saturday because all of us are in the house and I cook a lot.  I also finish all of my tasks because the following day is dedicated to church service fellowship.  Saturday is the busiest but the happiest too!

My house clothes which I always wear now.

Chosen this one for my entry because I love the beautiful colors of these balloons and the presentation.  Btw this tall group of balloons was used on my son's school activities particularly the health month last year.  Each grade level presented their version of healthy foods and gave each student a small serving of their prepared food.  The student contributed for it and they're also the recipients.  It was a very festive celebration filled with foods, toys, books and contented smile of little girls and boys.

Too Tired to Work

Can’t find the zest to work and write tasks today or maybe I was just feeling a bit tired from the chores. I tried working after lunch but I was not successful as I only did some email message browsing, answered client queries on my blog price, managed some tweets and that’s it. If only I could my blogging mojo today I would have finished ahead of my schedules again. It’s good to finish project or tasks as soon as you can because there are times that tasks are outpouring and if you’re working on due dates you’ll have pending tasks running after due time. :MYM/RT: Painting at Aling Tonyang's

This is a shot on Aling Tonyang's seaside restaurant painting where we eat couple of months back. We ate at the table below this painting and this  one caught my eye as the theme of the painting is also about cooking.  Very simple yet creative with splashes of brown, beige, yellow and red.  So I thought of making this an entry to Mellow Yellow Monday and Ruby Tuesday.  That day was full of fun as I met up with college friends whom I didn't see for a couple of years.  We've been together for 5 straight years in PUP Computer Engineering Class and so close to each other that they often hang out in our house to do projects and attend special occasions.  How I missed those days!

Maternity Clothes

Having a baby is an exciting thought to a family especially if it’s the first time for a couple to have one. I remember my own pregnancy when the whole family was excited over what I eat, what I do and what I wear. Of course the husband will do everything just to keep me comfortable and satisfied with all the foods that I want to eat. Anyway it’s not that hard on him as I don’t ask things and foods that are hard to get. I just love fish, vegetables, fruits and all natural foods. Custom Concessions

Our daughter is graduating from primary school next month and we’re planning some things to prepare for his secondary schooling next school year. Safety Signs

Whenever I go to various places be it private offices, public buildings, hospitals or schools I always read wall signs whenever there’s one so I can familiarize myself with the rules of the place. Some are not rules anyway but safety signs or precautionary measures on emergency things. When I was the Administrative Officer of one of my previous jobs I see to it that important signs like Fire Exit and Fire Extinguisher are in proper places for easy searching when things got out of hand. Our signs were simple then unlike the ones I’m seeing on various places now like construction site and gasoline station with attractive image signs and texts that meets the eye. Remember that it’s better to have precaution than be caught in accidents.

Fire Prevention Month

It’s March already and a parade was held early morning to promote fire prevention month. They always do it on the first day of March as this month begins the hot summer months and the season for fire accidents also. Unlike the past several years fire incidents have already happened last month and I’m praying that with some guidelines from the fire department people will have better ideas on how to prevent fire. 

Anyway it’s also our car’s registration month and we’ll have to look for cheap auto insurance so we can have some savings. Some insurance are really expensive and getting them will surely hurt the budget. I’ll have to ask my brother if he has found a good and affordable insurance for his new car. Or I’ll have to look online for more feasible searches.

Bad Work Habits

Work demands discipline. You need to have discipline on some aspect of your work like coming to office on time, avoiding absences on minor reasons only and following office rules. With regards to following office rules I noticed that some employees now got hooked in online games that they don't realize they're extending their break periods just to have their hobbies.

I remember my days in Transportation Company where our time was all spent on work and the management were very strict on lunch and coffee breaks. When we encounter power interruption we will help some department that operates even without power to maximize our time. Now some employees disregard the need to follow office rules and just go on what they want to do as long as the boss doesn’t see them. Sometimes modern gadgets and technology becomes an instrument in ruining proper decorum at work because they pose an irresistible temptation.

What Should You Work With?

I've been sitting in front of my laptop almost the whole day and I just want to have a break somehow.  I answered this quiz about personality and about the things I should work with.  I was surprised with the results as it says it would kill me to be at desk job all day which is precisely what I'm doing right now lol! Yes I don't really like sitting for long but I have no choice most of the times because of the heavy work load of my job.  

Don't get me wrong I love the workload as it also means more income for my family.  It's just that I have to break from it sometimes.

The result is near to truth as I really like moving around if time permits.  I also like mastering hard tasks because challenges excite me.  I remember getting bored in accounting department after several years of doing it because I don't like jobs that you'll only repeat day after day.  Anyway I'm just working at home but writing doesn’t bore me.
