Retiring from Work
>> Saturday, April 28, 2012
I heard some of my online friends retired from work already and there are others who expressed interest of retiring soon also. With the current crisis going on I’m blessed to have two jobs. I was able to maintain both office work and my paid writing job despite busy schedule and I’m so thankful for it. I just need two more years before DH will have his education degree so maybe I’ll be able to go back to working at home. Earning salaries from two jobs is really a big help to my finances but I also miss being at home with my kids especially when they go home and I’m there to welcome them with their favorite food and help them with school assignments. Those are the simple things that I missed so much and what I want to do with my life. I’ve retired from a 16-year old job last July 2009 and returned to corporate world last year so it’s too early to retire again.
Maybe I’ll give myself until DH starts his teaching career and I’ll be working comfortably again in my home office. Anyway when I resigned three years ago my former boss gave me a despedida lunch which touched my heart so much especially when he said that I’m his favorite employee. They didn’t want me to go but I needed to in those times so they approved my resignation in a year’s notice. Some of my friends gave me remembrance items and they all wished me good luck in my future endeavours. I would love to receive chocolate retirement gifts then but they gave me memoirs instead lol!. Well now I can buy those delicious gifts for me and for my friends easily because they’re available online. I love those fancy berry spectacular and classic truffle assortments.

My Favorite Music Store
>> Monday, January 30, 2012
Since my daughter had her birthday this month I still haven’t bought her one of the two gifts I promised her. I already gave her the speedball lettering book she love which she’s using now to harness her lettering skills. It’s my hobby and acquired skill since secondary school and when I do some lettering on their projects she always say that she wanted to be like me. So when I finally bought her the book it’s always on her hands and patiently reading and practicing the lessons there.
Now I’m searching through music and instrument store for my other gift to her which is an acoustic guitar with a chord book. I was also thinking of adding up one music stand to surprise her. I once had a favorite music store near the university I’m studying at which has various music books and musical instruments but it’s so far from my town. I really need to allot some hours just to go there and pick from their assortment of guitars, chord books and some other accessories.
I already called them and inquired about my specific requirements and they gave me the price. One free day I’ll go to that store or if DH is free maybe he can come with me so we can choose from recommended brands. I really love going to music stores as it fondly reminds me of my teenage years when I was so hooked with music.

Remembering Holiday Activities
>> Wednesday, September 29, 2010
In less than three months now we’ll have the busiest and most festive holiday of the year. I remember dreading this holiday when it comes to work because I don’t like their setup on giving gifts to clients and associates of the company. It’s always stressful because it’s often close to vacation dates and sometimes when I arranged my birthday celebration which is a few days before Christmas it usually coincide with us rushing to get the gifts packed, named and delivered.
Anyway there are more happy memories like celebrating my birthday on the same day of our company party and hundreds of employees greet me with special mention from my dearest boss. It’s also the time when that I receive promotional products and gifts from our clients and providers. Most of them became my friends and they like including me in their gift list. Sometimes I miss those times when I and my office friends attend our company party because I get to see those employees working in remote areas but I really love my life now. I simply enjoy holidays with my family, friends, school mates and church mates without stress, just pure fun and lots of expenses.

Gifts for the Little Boys
>> Friday, December 4, 2009
I can feel the air of Christmas with the gush of wind when I go out of my house. With the lights and never ending decors on the malls there’s no doubt that holidays are coming. In this time of hard economic situation people try to forget about poverty, unemployment and bad news on television. Almost all people are thinking about how they can make their loved ones happy this coming holiday season. One way of making our friends and family happy is by giving them our love and expressing it by way of gifts. Actually many would agree that majority of our gifts are for the kids.
I don’t have problem with my gift for the girls but when it comes to boys I sometimes find it hard to think. If you’re like me who have a hard time thinking of gifts for the little boys you could try giving them a set of NFL Jerseys which is very appropriate for kids aged 4-10 years old. They will surely love those uniform sets especially that it comes with a complete set of 0-9 iron on numbers. I can just imagine how it will bring so much excitement and happiness to those kids. You can order it online for only $39.99 with a set that includes pants, pad, mask, helmet and many other accessories. Just choose among the different NFL teams and pick the kid’s favorite.
