Nice Thing About Teamwork

Teamwork is a work performed by a group, a team or a band. The quality of teamwork will depend on much each member will join forces and work together in using some important factors like coordination, communication, cohesion, mutual support, effort and a great balance of contributions. Without using any of these effectively there won’t be much good results and the quality of teamwork will be low. I’ve experienced working as a team and though it’s hard to work if others won’t cooperate it’s still rewarding to think that you always have someone to lean on and you have the team of your side always. 

My technical proposal team in my previous job was given an award in 1996 because of our excellent performance. It felt so good then accepting our awards because we know we really did our best. I would have been sad if it’s not a group award because all of us deserve the recognition. It surpassed my former solo awards.

CNN Heroes

We were watching ABS CBN news about our very own Efren Peñaflorida making it to the top ten of CNN Heroes when my lil' boy was asking me what CNN Heroes are. He only knows national heroes and his favorite heroes like Batman, Spiderman and Superman. I told him those people are the real alive heroes of our times who do extraordinary things and gone out of their way to help people especially those who need it the most. The news include teaching the viewers how they can access the site and how to vote.

Of course I was touched by Efren's story of educating the streetchildren by way of mobile school. He chose to educate the children in the slum areas. As my Mom was a retired teacher I know fully well the sacrifices of teachers and this one is way beyond the normal ones. Of course I voted for Efren Peñaflorida though I appreciate all the extraordinary people who top the CNN Heroes' list alongside Efren. Anyway here are the complete list of nominees:

He's First!

I called the house to check on Josh and to ask if the graduation materials were there already. Since I can't be on leave for two consecutive days I asked Josh' school service to get his toga and program for Friday's graduation. The kids were not notified verbally about the lineup of outstanding students and we were told to just wait for the program copy to know everything about the ceremony.

I was happy to know and somewhat excited when Mom told me that Josh got the first place in their kinder class, WOW! Even Josh was so excited when he told me, actually he's really waiting for the list because he wanted to receive a medal again this year just like last year. Congrats Josh dear! We thanked God for this!
