When Opportunity Knocks

>> Friday, April 12, 2013

Sometimes opportunity knocks in our door but we're too busy to recognize it let alone opening our door to let it in. Most of the times we know it but we're having doubts about it and we're so comfortable in what we have that we didn't want change in our lives.  It applies especially to work opportunities which is a little bit difficult to decide upon when you're stable and happy with it.

From experience I know that changing work and employment is exciting but at the same you'll have some apprehensions on your new employer, co-employees and the job itself.  Proving yourself once more is not that easy as work differs with every company that you work with.  Well this is what I've learned from working in six different companies for 20 years.

Up until now I'm on my 6th company and hopefully the last....as I want to go back to blogging and writing in the comfort of my home.  The job that I've never counted as one is my most fulfilling job of all.  Aside from being a Mom my work-at-home blogging and writing articles and reviews gave me not just a fulfillment of my dream but a good source of income as well.  I was grateful and thankful that when this opportunity that knocked at my door more than 5 years I was able to recognize and grab it.  I know God was the one who knocked the door and gave this opportunity to me.

Wishes Granted!

>> Tuesday, April 13, 2010

I’m wishing for drizzles yesterday and this morning my wish was granted our backyard soil was wet and all plants were watered. It’s not the first time I wished for that and happened the next day! I remember the last time that I was affected by the afternoon news that talked about El NiƱo and I wrote it in my blog. Then I wished for some rain and the next day after that it rained. Well I count such little things as blessings from God.

It makes me happy to know and feel that my little wishes are being heard by Him. Of course I’ve known for a long time that He’s good to me all the time because He’s shown many miracles in my life and two of those are my daughter’s lump in the head and my Mom’s blindness. These two were cured miraculously without the help of medicine and I was glad for His merciful grace. To Him Be the Glory.

Life Without Limbs.... Be Inspired!

>> Thursday, May 21, 2009

I came in to my office and my office friend Win who happens to be a born-again Christian also has something to show me in his laptop. He shared me what he’s been viewing for some time on that day. I was indeed curious because by the look of his eyes it really is important and worth viewing for. He’s been reading his daily devotional book, inspired by the story of a man who lived all his life without limbs and immediately search for him on the net.

Nick Vujicic was born without arms and legs and gives inspirational testimonies on how God has helped him overcome challenges of being physically incapacitated for life. His greatest joy in life is having Jesus in his life. He walked without legs but with faith in his heart.

I was touched and moved by his words, the words that every Christian has experienced in the trouble times of their lives. God is really our refuge and strength in times of trouble. I’m sharing this to inspire other people who have better things in life than Nick. We should be thanking God for all the blessings and love He is giving us. Be inspired, watch this:
