God's Bigger Plans for Me

>> Tuesday, December 18, 2012

For few months now I've been thinking of my plans in life especially regarding my work.  Since our company didn't passed the accreditation on one company that we planned to deal with several projects we're now setting our goals on other successful accreditations we have.  It's not that easy changing your plans but we have no choice but to think of more fruitful ways than being depressed on that one.

I know we'll be able to make it but we really need time so it's actually a matter of decision from the upper management.  We still have regular jobs but I'm really thinking if my current job is really for me as sometimes I can't feel that I'm going to stay longer.  I'm also finding myself a little bit uncomfortable like I'm crossing  a very tricky bridge when decisions are needed.  I always have to ask and most of the times I need the opinion of others.

It's ok for me but I feel like I'm not the old person before who can decide on anything and be appreciated on all my works.   Maybe I'm missing my former boss or his kind words to me or I'm getting older that I'm being so sensitive.  But I really feel it and it's not doing me good, not for my confidence and definitely not for making good decisions for my life now.

I'm giving myself in His hands now to give me guidance on making my plans and decisions as I'm not confident in deciding when I'm emotional.  I know he has bigger plans for me than what I'm thinking for myself so I'll wait for the signs and providence.

FFI

So...here we go!

1. My back pain was healed by my Mom's massage therapy and caring hands of course!

2. We're planning to bring the little boy to wildlife and parks, a mini zoo in the heart of the city.  We can also have picnic there.

3. Leaves are falling all around, and I love the beauty and smell of the dry and fallen leaves of fall.

4. It's best if we let the bad memories be drowned in the sea of  forgetfulness.

5. Healing is forever if it's from God.

6. Attending mini-reunion and meeting up school friends  is what I've been up to lately!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to reducing my long list of tasks if I will not be able to finish them, tomorrow my plans include teaching Gen with basic operations of MS Word for her contest and meeting up blogger friends and Sunday, I want to concentrate on my Sunday service, no work!

Manic Monday #209

If you could write your own bill of rights, what would you include?

I think all the bill of rights that I want is there already. I want those people in-charge of implementing those bills to do it with perseverance, honesty and dedication. What's the use of bills or rules if it's not being practiced and implemented to the true meaning of the word. Bill of rights will remain few sentences of meaningless words if the government will not use it to benefit the people.

What is going on in the world today that affects you the most?

Global warning, El NiƱo and natural catastrophes but I know these things will really happened as written in the old holy book. These are signs and warning to people, a reminder also of how abusive we are to Mother Nature. When these things happen I pray to God that He'll protect us from any harm.

What do you think is the secret to a good life?

A secret to a good life is putting God first in everything that we do. We should put God in the center of our lives and you'll see that everything will be in the right place. You'll find happiness, peace and contentment in Him.

Slow Blogging Pace

>> Friday, January 8, 2010

Sometimes it’s really hard to concentrate on working on tasks that it reaches up to its due date before I work on it. I can do good jobs even at deadlines but it feels bad having to rush when you can do it earlier. I’ve already promised myself not to do it but sickness forced me to make blogging pace slowly so I can also regain my strength. I don’t want to be hospitalized so I’m taking care of myself, getting enough sleep these days and eating proper foods mostly veggies and fruits and lesser on meats.

He's Enough to Make Me Feel Better!

>> Monday, December 7, 2009

I’m feeling a little bit dizzy after last night’s overnight. I had few tasks to finish and when I’ve submitted them all I realized that I had less than an hour to sleep before my regular waking time. I decided to continue with my work and deprived myself of sleep because in less than one hour I have to cook and assist my girls before their service picks them up. I’m an early riser and if I worked up to 3am my desire to sleep will vanish. So it’s before 3am or not to sleep. I decided on the latter that’s why I’m dizzy but still I can’t sleep.

To forget about my not so good feeling of dizziness and nausea I went to grocery and market near Josh’ school and just before they finish their school time I was there outside his room waiting for him. He’s surprised and happy that I’m there, also with some of his fave foods and drinks. That's how I remedied my sickness, just a smile from my baby is enough to make me feel better :-)

Patience and Temperance Helped Me

>> Tuesday, November 24, 2009

Most of the times we really need to stay cool whenever hot situation arises. I just don’t know why some people don’t know the proper ethics of good manners in corporate environment. I dislike people who don’t have backbones to stand to their mistakes and blame on innocent people who are not anymore in the loop... During my employment days I always tell my staff not to put blame on others who were not anymore employed in the company whenever they were put into not-so good situation with the boss. It’s alright to mention responsibilities but to completely put the blame on resigned employees is a no-no. They should take responsibilities for their job and if it’s not their fault try to think of ways to explain to superiors that it’s not them who handled it but will try to solve the problem in whatever way you can possibly do.

In my several years of working I can’t remember a single situation where I put my colleague in a bad light especially with my boss as sometimes your jurisdiction may tarnish an innocent person. We should be careful with the words we say because it might ruin someone’s reputation and if the words were said already you can’t put it back. With situation like this I really need patience and temperance to guide my thoughts as I’m only human and as a human I can’t stop myself from feeling hurt and disappointed over trusted colleagues that let me down.

Monday Sickness!

>> Monday, November 9, 2009

My my! Monday sickness is hitting me again; I’m so lazy and nappy today. All I can afford to do right now is to visit my fave blogs and to drop ec. Sometimes it’s good this way as I get to see and read interesting blogs and posts. I even added some to my entrecard existing lists. This is good for my traffic but not for my online tasks as I have few critical tasks today. Critical because it’s big lol! If I’ll stay this way the whole day I’ll be wasting some nice opportunities so I’d better be changing my moods. How about you are you having some Monday sickness?

Curious as a Cat - Week#191

>> Monday, November 2, 2009

Week Number 191

1) What is the one thing you'd most like to change about the world?

I would want to change the way how people prioritize their time for God in their lives. People should devote Sunday as their day for praising and serving God. They should always remember that God has given us seven days and we took the 6 so the 7th day should be for Him to thank Him for all the blessings He bestowed in us on the week that passed.

2) Can you play a musical instrument? What instrument would you like to learn?

I don't play musical instrument though my ancestors are musicians. I want to learn how to play guitar and piano

3) Who was (or is) the scariest teacher you know?

My scariest teacher is my effective speech teacher in College, she's so scary that my friends and me shifted to another department to take up effective speech together with Banking and Finance students, we're all Computer Engineering students. I have a high school friend there so she helped us to get in their class.

Actually our scary teacher is not that intelligent or super bright but she has this attitude of making all students fail in her subject, we can't bear that attitude coz we're maintaining our high grades, we're on the quota course and we must have high grades on all our subjects be it major or minor.

We enjoyed our shift and made friends with our classmates in different course. We even improved ourselves because we had a very bright professor who handled and taught us perfectly but after the semester we were advised by our computer engineering dean not to do it again :-)

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

Is that a penquin? I presumed one is making a banner of penquins because there will be a great showcase of them playing or doing tricks :-)

The Reason for the Season!

>> Friday, October 30, 2009

It’s just two months now before the biggest celebrated occasion around the globe and people are so busy with their gift list and holiday preparation. All people from all walks of life are all excited with this occasion where family bonding and love sharing is strongly encouraged. I remember my school days when my days would be complete if I received cards from many of my friends. That’s how I know if many like to be my friend.

Even if today’s modern technology such as instant messaging allow us to communicate faster its still best to send christmas cards to our distant relatives, family and friends. It’s still sweet receiving cards from your loved ones especially if it’s meant to show how much the sender loves the recipient.

The only problem with sending cards is the time you’ll allot for the period that it will be bought, signed and delivered. It took some time to visit bookstores for those little greeting cards. Now for busy people who have no time to choose and buy Christmas cards you’ll be happy to know that you can order your cards online at ChristmasCardsUk.com. You can choose between their classic types and personalized ones which is more sentimental than the first type. You can put in more personal touches on the cards so it will look more like you. What caught my attention were the beautiful recycled cards I’ve seen in their various card types. The cards were recycled to help support the drive to protect the environment.

But what is really the meaning of Christmas? Is it just the giving of gifts and cards the reason for this season? The true spirit of Christmas is the love that you can give to your brethren and it’s not important how nice and how expensive your gift is just as long as you give it with love. I should say it’s the best gift ever because it’s packed and wrapped with love. And did you know that the reason for this season is Christ? Yes he’s the real reason.

Curious as a Cat - Week#190

>> Thursday, October 29, 2009

1) What genre of movies do you prefer?
I go for action and suspense thriller. It excites me to watch movies like this. I also watch romantic movies with unique stories.
2) If you could have overheard a specific conversation between any two people, what would it be?
I would have loved to have heard the discussion between Jesus' parents around the time she became pregnant.
3) What behavior do you think is the most common but rudest?
Having your mobile phone ringing in the middle of a very important corporate meeting is a bad habit. Phone should be silenced on meetings to avoid disruption of discussion. Answering it when there's a call is very rude but many have been doing it unconsciously.
4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

I see a very tight football game here and I guess it's a championship game which made them pushed their skills and energy to the limit. Their objective - to win no matter how hard it is.

I'm 24% Girly

You Are 24% Girly

You are a pretty hardcore tomboy, and a very free spirit.
Gender roles be dammed, you like to do things your way.

This quiz really caught my attention as I wanted to know if it will make out the real me :-) I'm not girly if it would mean being so vain in my looks, in my things and accessories and on being so feminine in every ways. Look at the result above and I can say it's the real score in real life. I grew up next to my big brother and being with him as playmate I have many guys as friends, I guess he influenced me a lot.

It's just lucky that the sibling next to me is a girl so I had that 24% score below :-) Funny but true! Well being a born-again christian now helped me a lot to develop some girly things about me. I did fall in love with my bestfriend, married him and now we have three kids.

Tired But Inspired

>> Tuesday, October 27, 2009

It’s only hours before midnight and I just started doing my online tasks. I’ve been very busy with household matters and preparation of Josh’ costume the whole day that I earlier planned to do some writing and posting in the evening. It’s easier that way because I’m more relaxed and able to think clearly. After seeing that my kids have finished with their dinner and assignments I prepared myself for my due online work only to find myself tired and sleepy to even think and type a sentence. I rested for about an hour and when I feel that my brains will function normally I headed for my PC to start blogging. Just when some of my blogger friends are saying good night I just said hello and good evening.

Sometimes I really felt sleepy after a long day of going to my kids’ school, attending meetings, grocering and a lot more things. I often schedule my online work at night when everything is finished and completed. Having three schooling children is not a joke when it comes to household chores and parenting but the happiness you get from them is immeasurable that’s why I’m always inspired in writing and working. I’m just lucky that hubby can still massage my forehead even if he’s tired from his whole day’s work. His massage work wonders on my headache and tiredness that I can still work up to midnight or beyond that time.

Serendipity

And...here we go!

Another week has passed and I feel like time is running so fast so before this day runs fast I'd like to share some of my thoughts here.

1. The crickets sing, I remember their song clearly when I was a kid in the province.
2. Dad, we'll always miss you wherever you are.
3. I want to get far away from the bustling city sometimes, I'm glad I live just after the city.
4. Weekend in Paris & England and roaming around historical/biblical places in Israel; this was a dream.
5. But as for me I will try to enroll in a cooking/baking class so I can serve delicious dishes to my family and to satisfy my hobby.
6. A happy, conservative and God-loving family is where I come from.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to finish baking my chicken barbeque, tomorrow my plans include doing a general cleaning of the house and Sunday, I want to eat outside with my kids after church service!

Saturday 9: Inside Job

>> Saturday, October 17, 2009

Saturday 9

1. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a chemist.
2. Did you ever pursue that career?
Nope.
3. If you are not in that field, what changed?
I'm not healthy enough to be in laboratory most of the time and computer education is very in demand those days so I decided to take up computer engineering for better job opportunities after college.
4. What is your current job?
I just resigned from being an Admin. officer, Billing,Collection and Accounting Supervisor, a Human Resource officer and International Carrier Settlement Officer in a small telecommunications company. It's almost three months now since I decided to be a work-at-home Mom and do freelance writing and blogging. See I've almost rounded up all office departments
5. What’s the best part of what you do?
Being a dedicated Mom and wife and at the same time earn bucks online, isn't it wonderful!
6. Do you have plans to do something else down the road?
Yap, small business on foods.
7. How did you get your present job? If you are a stay at home mom, how long did you need to plan that move? My bestfriend taught me the basics of bloging and as for being Mom and wife I think 'till my family needs me....
8. Did your parents influence your choices of jobs over the years?
No
9. What advice would you give your children on careers?
They need to choose the field that they they really want and at the same time the field that they can earn a living for their future families. Sometimes what we want is not the best for us and will not give us decent job.
