Online Facts and News

Seeing how my kids would go about their research assignments makes me remember how we used to do it decades ago when internet is not yet invented and discovered. We used to do our research work using hard bound Encyclopedia in home or school libraries. My Mom would borrow one from their library when I need to search for something. It’s not that bad during those days because it always involve 1 or 2 volumes only so Mom would usually bring one to me. I owe some of my best grades on my super Encyclopedia which is not being used by kids anymore because they can get all the information via online connection.

Now you can do your searching  just as long as you have a PC and internet connection or you can just rent an hour or two in an internet café to finish your school tasks. Although it may seem easier now than the old times I realized it’s not because the easy accessibility of facts makes the teacher give more than the usual.

Anyway with the advent of modern internet technology one can be updated with news locally and around the globe with just a few clicks on sites that offer and provide online news. It’s convenient and you can have it anytime and anywhere just as long as you have an internet connection and any gadget to access it and read on. Really nice!

Internet Security for Your Business

In all offices that I worked since Internet invades the world I’m always assigned to work that involves being online all the time. I was assigned to be the international carrier settlement officer in my previous job in minor Telco company and it required me to be online all the time. All coordination, inquiries, billings and disputes were done through internet communications and Ii realized how valuable this innovation into corporate business. It has served as an easy way of communicating with other businesses around the globe and makes it convenient to transact and to relay information across. All transactions were carried in the least possible time and all I need to check is our associate’s time zone in order to gauge our online communication.

Everything’s fine and good until I’ve experienced security trouble and learned that Internet Security Software should be installed to prevent viruses from corrupting our confidential files and hacking online transactions. Business communications over the net should have the best security in order to assure safety of agreements and finance transactions as well. I’m just thankful that our software specialist in the office knows how to prevent all these and where we can get the protection that will not only prevent us from having viruses but to maintain the system’s security also.

With the help of Trend Antivirus businesses will be able to secure what they’re transmitting over the net. It will also make them feel safe that they develop solutions on how to prevent, secure and manage the whole company’s security network. Now that innovations are fast emerging and cloud environments are here already they also offer solutions that can protect the most confidential and precious data not just in physical and virtual aspects but in cloud environment as well. Rest assured that businesses will not worry about their security again.

No Electricity and No Connection

There was a great blast of transformer located in Taytay plant that happened last night which partly paralyzed most Metro Manila and nearby towns' electricity. We were lucky to get electricity after every 4 hours but didn't managed to post entries because SmartBro, my broadband internet suffered failure again on some areas including ours. I went to my brother's house to submit my tasks but unfortunately his connection is intermittent until we lost electricity again. I was desperately trying to look for a combination of power and internet and finally was able to get a good one in one of the internet cafe next town to us. Sorry for my ec droppers and visitors because I was not able to return the visits. I rented a PC for just about one hour because I can't leave my kids at home without electricity. Will just visit you when things normalize again. Good day!

Connection is Back to Normal

I was so glad that finally I was able to work on my PC and connection. The past few days have been a busy day for me in terms of arranging the checkup of my internet connection. My connectivity was intermittent for two weeks but when my provider finally sent their contractor to check on my internet my connection was running perfectly. When the technician showed up I decided to go on with the checkup as it was already scheduled but to my dismay my PC suddenly malfunctioned. I have to reschedule the contractor on the next day leaving me a half day work again. Now the whole evening on that day was spent on repairing my PC who cooperated with me and resumed good operation.

Next morning the contractor was early with their visit and was able to spot the problem with my antenna. As per their findings another internet tower was installed few meters away from mine but directly obstructing my way. Oh well I decided to change its location and finally ended my connection dilemma leaving me half day again to work on my online tasks. My assignments were filing up then and I just hope I’ll have the energy to do blog marathon this morning. Wishes!

Connection Problem

It’s really hard when your internet connection is not stable as I’m beating some due online tasks today. My connection is on and off causing some delay in my work, I have to be as fast as I can when the connection is ok and when it is in trouble I’ll have to work offline just writing without the connection. I’ve asked the help of my provider’s customer service and they surmised that it’s my antenna that’s giving me failed signals. They’ve scheduled technician to drop by here and fix the problem but until now I’m not receiving confirmation from the technician. I hope they’ll come today as I’m missing out many opportunities online. I’m also worried about my visitor’s stats as I can’t visit as many sites as I can with my limited intermittent connection.

Wireless Network

My sis Redge and I were both blogging and we decided to have a wireless network at home so we can use the internet at the same time. I’ve done some canvassing and searching and finally chose the Linksys router to accommodate our two personal computers and laptops if ever my brother is there to visit us. We chose the wireless one because we’re also planning to have laptop or notebook. That way we could easily go around the house and still use our laptops without worrying if we could have an access online. I’m still saving for an HP laptop.
