:FF/FTF: Crema De Fruta

>> Friday, July 9, 2010

This is Crema De Fruta from Goldilocks which we ate from baby Princess' birthday. So refreshing and yummy. Great partner for my pasta! I'm fond of refrigerated cake which I make from Graham's biscuits, all purpose cream, condensed and fruit cocktail. This one is a bit different but if I'm too lazy to make my own ref cake this one can be a good replacement.

:FF/FTP: Sherbet

>> Friday, July 2, 2010

The weather today is changing every now and then. One moment it's hot then another moment it's cloudy. It's hard to predict if it will rain or not but my craving for this yummy ice cream is very predictable lol! With the sunny/rainy weather today I'm drooling for Shakey's sherbet ice cream. The pic I had was that of my little boy's ice cream in Shakey's two weeks ago. I didn't ordered another one for me because it was after midnight then and I was so full with pizza and pasta. Josh only ate a slice of pizza and ordered this one. Look at him here!

Update :-)
Here's a happier picture of him! He asked his sisters to help him with the ice cream lol!

:FF/FTP: Buco-Fruit Salad

>> Friday, June 11, 2010

It's one of the food in my Mom's birthday in the resort and it all came from Laguna where buco fruit is at its best :-). It's one of the crops in our town and we're very proud of it. We love it also as it can't be beat with other kinds when it comes to freshness and cool yummy taste. Now this shredded buco was combined with fruit cocktail, cheese, condensed milk and creams to give that oh so yummy taste.

:Food Friday - Sweet Pork and Green Salad

>> Friday, October 30, 2009

I don't know the name of this dish as I'm not the one who ordered this and it's my first time ever to eat there. This menu if from Outback restaurant in Libis where I had lunch with my bosses. We intended to eat in our favorite Causeway resto but we'll have to wait for three tables to vacate before we can eat so my boss changed our lunch venue. I was surprised he picked this resto because it's their competent as they owned a steakhouse also. Anyway he ordered big ribs on the barbie, tenderloin, fresh baked ziti, this sweet pork and green salad and fruit shakes.

I'm very fond of salad any salad that is! Be it green salad, fruit, buco, macaroni and any other salad I just love it. This one was served with sweet pork (I don't know the name of the menu here) and lettuce salad. All are deliciously prepared and originally flavored and we enjoyed our lunch. I just found the ribs too sweet for my liking.

This is the very yummy maja with lots of cheese inside and out, just looking at this pic makes me want for more but no there aren't anymore of this as we consumed all of this very fast :-) This is a gift and pasalubong for my Mom from one of her wedding sponsored godchildren, specialty of Rina and her hubby Santi, a bank manager with a great flair for cooking.

Happy Food Friday to all, see other delicious food here!

Ruth’s First Fruit Salad

>> Friday, October 31, 2008

Since it’s a holiday tomorrow I bought some food for the occasion, since my kids love pandesal I bought a bag full of pugon-baked goodies from Pan de Manila, I’ve picked the biggest size and some wheat type for me. For our lunch tomorrow I’ve only bought chicken because it’s their favorite together with barbeque which I intend to buy from the neighborhood barbeque house. For dessert I’ve picked some canned goods and creams for fruit salad. We all love salad from my Mom to my youngest Josh who has a taste for everything delicious meaning he has a big appetite!

I was relaxing myself watching television when Ruth volunteered to do the salad and since it’s a mix-everything-up recipe I let her do it with just basic instructions from me. She took after my flair in cooking and mixing food and little by little as she grows older she wants to try something new always. After mixing the salad she let me and her granny taste it then after our meticulous judgment (lol) she perfected the taste of her first ever fruit salad. We nearly ate one third of the mixture before she stored it in the freezer, yes she’s done it perfectly!
