CitySights New York

It’s fun to travel once in awhile and relax in a vacation somewhere far away from your home. Even though you’re in a vacation from your work and you’re staying at home you can never really rest and relax if you’re at home because there’s plenty of home activities and chores you can see. I can say this because when I was still working in a full time office work my vacation from work was always consumed cleaning up the house and attending to every needs of my family. It’s just a vacation from office works but not from household works.

I was thinking of vacationing in a place where I will get to see historical and beautiful places. I love visiting new places and documenting it just like in a journal. I’d like to join travel tours just like New York Sightseeing where I’ll get to hop from one historical museum to another historical place and get to see wonderful landmarks of the city. My friend told me that it’s really fun joining the CitySights NY tours and she enjoyed seeing great places in New York especially the museums and magnificent buildings there.

I also want to do that but for now as I’m super busy with adjusting from employee to work-at-home Mom I’ll just plan my vacation somewhere cold in the northern part of this country. Hubby mentioned yesterday that we’ll plan a vacation in Baguio City when our time schedule is not as tight as now.

Connection Problem

It’s really hard when your internet connection is not stable as I’m beating some due online tasks today. My connection is on and off causing some delay in my work, I have to be as fast as I can when the connection is ok and when it is in trouble I’ll have to work offline just writing without the connection. I’ve asked the help of my provider’s customer service and they surmised that it’s my antenna that’s giving me failed signals. They’ve scheduled technician to drop by here and fix the problem but until now I’m not receiving confirmation from the technician. I hope they’ll come today as I’m missing out many opportunities online. I’m also worried about my visitor’s stats as I can’t visit as many sites as I can with my limited intermittent connection.

:Food Friday - Brown Puto

This is my favorite kind of puto. Yes I like this brown type puto more than any other kinds. I grew up in a town where all kinds of rice cakes and coco jams are being manufactured. Even in our own compound my Auntie used to cook volumes of kutsinta, sapin-sapin, palitaw and many other kinds of suman. She cooks well and she delivers it to nearby towns.

This puto in picture resembles my favorite Puto Biñan which at first glance I thought was the real puto from Biñan. Anyway it's also yummy!

Buying My Personal Items with Coupons

It’s payday once again and it’s my first whole month of getting my salary from my online job which happens to surpass my former work’s salary. I’m so happy that my first month of being a work-at-home has passed already and I can say I can rate myself at 8 out of 10. Well that’s my opinion only because my Mom told me that I’m a 10, mothers are always exaggerated over their children and they thought their kids are the best.

Now I’ve been thinking of buying myself a gift for making it good this month. I should be looking for some nice things online for me. When it comes to shopping for own personal things I should say I’m not the one who will buy expensive clothes, shoes and bags though on several occasions if I really want what I saw on the site I bought some nice ones. It’s just that I’m not the type who cares so seriously about brands. People are different you know.

Now everyone has their own likings and flairs and do you know that I go for home items, gadgets and books? I was excited this morning to browse the net for cooking books and was happy to find one to help me with my baking hobby. I know I can save some money with the use of Books-A-Million coupon when I buy this baking cake book. I just love recipe books that when I have some extra funds I really search for the books I want and use some discount coupons to buy them.

There’s one more thing that I want in the next few months for which I’m saving some of my earned money and that’s the ultra portable laptop I saw last week. I know I can use Buy.com coupons if you want to buy the laptop but for now I have other priorities so it can wait for now. It’s really fun shopping online even if most of the times I’m just window shopping :-)

Ako'y Isang Pinoy

Josh school had their Linggo ng Wika celebration last friday. Again parents and guardians were requested to join our kids to assist them in their costumes and to see their prepared presentation. As always every student has his/her own participation in their program. Josh was asked to prepare polo, maong pants, shades, toy guitar and long hair wig. For what? Their group was assigned to sing a Freddie Aguilar song 'Ako'y Isang Pinoy' (I am a Filipino).

We had a hard time choosing hats that resembles Freddie's but Redge was offered a nice rounded hat by her officemates, but for the log hair wig I decided not to follow as it's hard to look for long straight hair wig. The one that was rented to Josh was very feminine with brown color and a little curly, I wouldn't have it and Josh didn't want those pins in his head also. Anyway all kids didn't wear their wigs so my decision was right.
