Preparing for Summer Camp Meeting

It’s only few days more and we’re going to our summer camp fellowship meeting in the hills of Antipolo. I remember having the same camp meeting near Tagaytay City and preparing our 4-day church and camp things with a strict list because the location is far from city. Since the camp site is miles away from home and the travel would take us hours of travel we need to have a general check up of the car to prevent trouble in the middle of the road. 

Our Pastor is so keen about car trouble that he’s been thinking about getting a roadside assistance plan so he’ll not worry about getting help when he encountered car breakdown in the middle of expressway. Rural Lifestyle

I had my years of living in the province when I was just a small kid up to the time that I finished my 1st grade. I had a wonderful childhood because I’ve experienced playing in the field, riding horses, playing in the trees and enjoying the sceneries of farmlands, mountains and rivers. I can never exchange it for anything in the world because it’s perfect for me. Having lived in rural lifestyle is simple yet peaceful, uncomplicated yet rewarding in the sense that you’ll live a good life if you worked hard. My Uncle and his sons were the farmers in the family and in them I saw how they used farm tractors  and other farming equipment. I learned from them some basics in planting, caring for the crops and everything I need to know about rural life. My Mom was a teacher and Dad was working in government office so it’s only my Uncle who can teach and show me the rural living. 

Looking back on those wonderful years when Uncle and Dad were still alive it made me smile how they made my childhood memorable with fun activities like picnics, fruit picking, riding at the sides of horses saddled on baskets, never ending swimming at the cool waters of rivers and a lot more. Some Package Deals

I heard some good deals on the price of few netbooks I’ve been looking at for some time. My laptop will be on it’s first year birthday exactly two months from now and I’m perfectly contented with it. I’m eyeing the netbook for special someone thus the reason for eyeing some super discounted sale. When I bought my HP laptop last year I was really overwhelmed with some package deals offered by various stores. 

My hubby’s company store offered a package with printer and few high-end models with ipod nano included on their package deals. I was excited about the promo deals but ended up buying my original choice because I realized that I don’t need those things included in the package. It’s just a waste of money to buy things you don’t need for the moment.

Investment or Business?

When your family is getting bigger or your kids are growing up fast you need to think of ways on how to augment the family’s finances. You need to provide your kids not only with the utmost love and attention but of the things they need like good life and education. They need good education so even if you grow old you’ll never worry about their future. That’s what we’re thinking about now that two of our kids will be in secondary education this coming school year. 

We really need to think of good investment like buying precious metals like silver bars or gold but this one should be planned carefully as it involve big amount of finances. Anyway now that we don’t have enough money for that kind of investment we might as well push through with our current small business plan of selling wholesale fruits from our provincial hometown.

Balancing My Work Schedule

I was quite busy these days and I’m thankful that DH has started his school break this week. The kids are all on their fourth quarter exams and few days more they will have their summer vacation. It’s just the right timing for my part-time work which I’ve started this month. It’s actually just a help on documentations, forms, agreements and some things on business start-up. I like doing it now compared to when I was still working because I somehow missed my work and the person who asked me to work on it. It’s a nice feeling to meet up again with office friends you’ve worked with for several years and doing the work you’ve accustomed doing. 

My work simply involves the things I’ve done in my past employment and not about anything I’m foreign about. Now I’ve got loads of online tasks to finish and I’m planning to work overtime or overnight to lighten my load. I was just thinking if I’ll be working hard in the following days to come I may have some questions to my friend on how to get rid of dark circles because that’s my biggest problem when I sleep late or when I don’t sleep at all. It’s always like that for me after series of sleeping late at night. Anyway I can recover easily because my time is flexible and I can take short naps on not-so-busy days. I learned how to balance my time, rest and sleep with my online work now.

Thick and Strong Hair

My daughters are growing up so fast and little by little I’m seeing some of myself in them especially the younger girl because she looks like me and her ways are more like me when I was her age. I noticed though that her hair is a lot thicker than mine but the same kind of long straight tresses. I like thicker hair because they have less possibility of getting thinner when they grow old. Well, I know that these days it’s not so much of a problem because there are solutions like best hair loss products but it’s always more comfortable not to use any treatment if you can help it. 

I remember my father had problems with receding hair and I’m seeing the same problem with my brother. I guess it’s the genes so I’m watching over my kids to see if they inherit the same weakness in hair. If it’s on the male side only I have to watch my little boy because he strongly resembles me and my brother . But if Josh inherited my husband’s side he’ll be worry-free. Hubby got thick and strong hair.
