Seafood Resto

>> Saturday, September 4, 2010

When I met up with my friends last week of August we were laughing at ourselves when we couldn’t make up our minds which seafood restaurant will we spend our mini reunion. One of our friends wanted a place where there are videoke because she loves to sing while we eat. Our chosen resto had nothing of that request but we decided to stay there because the restaurant was known for its delectable seafood cuisine. As we were shopping for seafoods I heard the market staff talking about lady gaga concert tickets and how they would want to have them. One of the staff suddenly stopped when she saw us and immediately turned on her persuasive mood of getting our attention to buy on their stall. Wow the price of the seafoods is very high. My friends who know about seafood and their prices kept on bargaining to lower down their price. My friend whispered to me that the prices are double the real price but we didn’t have much choice then so we just go on through cooking.

Having a hard time thinking of holiday gifts? Well it’s not really easy to do that especially that each gift will be different for each person. Since September begins people start thinking of holidays and the many activities that go with it like Christmas celebration and New Year’s midnight festivities. With the holidays that I mentioned above we should be ready with our gifts and special menu on the holiday season. I came upon numerous sites for gift ideas and stumble upon Lussori which offers and sells luxury brand watches like IWC Watches, elegant and quality timepieces that costs thousands of dollars.

What caught my attention also is their Ulysse Nardin Macho Palladium which has a distinct style and has many features like automatic movement with date, water resistant up to 50 meters, with exhibition case backup and certified chronometer. Gold Coins Collection for Investment

>> Monday, August 30, 2010

My Mom has collection of old coins since she’s a child but due to war she only kept those that she collected after the war. Still those remaining gold coins are priceless to her as it brings memories of her siblings and her parents. Her only remaining brother died last year of old age and her remaining immediate are us. She gave all her old coins to me because I showed the same liking for her collection. I ventured on other collection when I was a student but I grew out of them except for the old coins which I kept intact up to now. I learned that some people collect gold bullion because they find it not only as a good habit but a sure investment as well. I know that since the old generation gold and other precious metals proved to be a kind that appreciate values over the years so investing on various forms of gold can be a tangible investment.

Remembering DSI Friendly Bowling Games

>> Saturday, August 28, 2010

I suddenly miss playing bowling when I learned that one of my friends is continually doing it for years. I started it on the regular basis on our company tournament where our employer gives us allowances and prizes when your performance is great like when you’re the striker of the day. It was called Friendly Games by our boss because he intended it to be. He wanted everyone to join even if they’re not professional players and so we joined. It was a very memorable tournament for me because I was once or twice given the striker of the day award and became a member a player in the Best of the Best though I’m just an amateur player then. My coach was good and very patient with me that’s why it was easy for me to learn techniques. Now as I fondly remembering those days I found out that I had no single picture of that tournament. Wish I could find one!

FFIImage3

And...here we go!

1. You do your thing; I do mine and sometimes we'll do other projects together as a team.

2. My daughter's condition is what's been on my mind on and off all day while she's competing for her Filipino essay writing contest. She has stomach pains but she didn't want to abandon her duty as school's representative.  She was not picked in the top 5 but she's done her best.  Now she's resting now and hope she'll be ok later.

3. Remember when I used to do good things for them they just ignore it.  Well some people are really like that.
4. Cooking, blogging and photography are three of my favorite obsessions :-)

5. During the last year's birthday of my little boy we went to the mall where DH is working and we celebrated his birthday there at the new SM North EDSA Sky Dome .  DH was so happy that we dropped by his office store and he showed us around the newly renovated mall.

6. My kids puts a smile on my face when they're happily playing.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to looking after and caring for my daughter, tomorrow my plans include beating up the deadline of one company for some bonus and Sunday, I want to plan about my little boy's birthday!

Coping Up with Crisis

>> Tuesday, August 24, 2010

With today’s great need for financial improvement we should be smart in spending our hard-earned money and learn to love our work no matter how humble our position is. Count yourself lucky that you have a job that will help you feed your family and give their basic needs in life. Well if your income is not enough to support your family you can always think of something that can add to your family’s income like buying some jewelry making supplies to start learning how to make jewelries or having extra freelance works. I’ve seen many families now are trying their best to cope with up the worldwide crisis and they come up with ingenuity of turning their skills and talents into money.

Work is a Blessing!

>> Monday, August 23, 2010

"Oh, no, it's Monday again!" "Thank God it's Friday!" Do you dread Monday mornings and look forward to weekends? Do you find your work boring or burdensome? So you might ask, "How can work be a blessing when it reminds me of a Nazi concentration camp, and my pay is not commensurate to my ability and input?"

Why is work necessary? Because the earth was cursed after Adam and Eve disobeyed God, the consequence of that sin was the cursing of the ground which man needs to till until he dies. Since the earth is cursed, work and life is not a walk in the park. Nevertheless, work is a blessing, not a curse.

Since the call of duty to our boss and the Lord are one and the same, here are a few practical ways to honor God through our current boss in the workplace 1) If you should come to the boss with a problem, bring a solution too. That's the reason why you were hired (2) Always arrive on time or earlier. (3) Work with integrity (4) Complete the work thoroughly and on time and lastly, Never say, "It ain't my job."

The blessing of blessing others. Work is the means by which God blesses us financially so we can meet our basic needs and fulfill some of our dreams. God blesses us with the means to earn income so we could help others and look after the needs of others than our own. So we must never taken our work for granted. We must love each working day of our job.
