>> Wednesday, October 29, 2008

1.What does whispering make you think of? Confidential things, sweet nothings, gossips
2 What kinds of current women’s clothing styles do you dislike the most?
Very low waist jeans that exposes your underwear and wearing them in workplace
3. What is your greatest extravagance?

4. Do you have a good luck charm? What is it?
Not really a good luck charm but a key chain with my favorite bible verse on it, It’s there on my office bag, lucky for me!
5. Fill in the blank: “Without ___ I am nothing.
” Without Jesus in my life, I am nothing
6. How do you react when you find out that your closest friend dated your ex?
I would feel awkward... there’s plenty of men out there surely my friend would find others…. But on other thoughts I think it would be ok as long as I don’t see them together hahaha! Honest – it’s ok because I’m happy with my life now and other people especially my closest friend have the right to be happy also!
7. Do your heart and your mind ever disagree

Nope, I hate gossips I only like chikkas.

Beautiful Faucets

We were having a lunch break and washing our hands in our office lavatory when I noticed a very small leak in the faucet. As usual I must report it to our maintenance to see the faucet at once to prevent major repairs. Since the person who will do the checkup will reach the office in more than 20 minutes I started checking the mentioned faucet. I remember what my brother taught me about checking and fixing bathroom accessories. Sometimes the trouble needs minor repairs only especially if you have a quality well-made items like Delta faucets which is of good quality and beautifully made with anti-tarnish finish. This faucet is made to last for a long time.

Surprise Visit

>> Tuesday, October 28, 2008

I was hurriedly packing my things and food for office when we had a surprise visit from Shela, my niece and first-ever godchild from Famy Laguna. She's very close to me and now that her Mom passed away already I'm one of her adopted guardian because I'm her ninang, tita and also a friend. She was baptized when I'm only 10 years old so that makes us good friends too, too young to be her mom :-).

She's a favorite (hope some of my niece will not be able to read this or else!!! If you know her you'll know the reason why. She's sweet, funny and very thoughtful. When I gave birth to Josh 5 years ago she volunteered to come here in our house all the way from Laguna to be there for me when I arrived from the hospital. She assisted me for almost a month in her little own ways to make me feel comfortable. I have a helper then but in our house babies were cared for by my Mom and close family relative. My mom wouldn't allow my helper to take care of my kids. Helpers were just there to do household chores.

Anyway as I left for the office my girls entertained their Ate Shela by showing her photos in my pc and they read my blogs. I just talked to them online when I arrived at my work. Shela and her companion Tita Ilyang (my uncle' sister-in-law) arranged some papers here with my Mom's help and went home before 5pm.

Some Tips

>> Monday, October 27, 2008

Since it’s now Monday and workloads are usually full on this first day of work week I brought my own snack this time so I can work continuously without having to worry about my food. My officemates normally order lunch from nearby carinderia located just a few blocks away from our office or sometimes order from fast food restaurant. I bring my lunch most of the times but wait for the regular delivery guy who brought us snack here in our office. I’m a little bit choosy with the viands but for snack I love having different kinds.

Having your own food saves time because you can eat on time saving you the dilemma of waiting for food delivery and you can have plenty of break time to do anything you want on your rest periods. Like me now I’m reading some tips on how you can build muscle fast with proper training in gym, adequate intake of protein, proper nutrition and the use of muscle building supplements. Actually it’s not for me it’s for my friend who loves to have an ideal body built.

Planning Ahead

I’m glad that I’ve finished with my tasks of getting all food orders for our camp meeting in December. I’m now finalizing the total orders per menu so we can have the menu plan finished by Sunday in time for my report. Since I’ve drafted all yesterday I’m now doing the computation in my PC so I can save my file for future references.

Menu plan will consist of the quantity of meat, fish, vegetables and ingredients that we’re going to need for the whole consumption of all church members. I’ve already listed one and a half cavan of rice so when I’m finished with this one I’ll be able to complete all necessary food items for budgeting and buying. All I need after this is the printing of meal ticket which will be given one week before the occasion. I’ve always liked early and detailed preparation of things, in this way everything is in order.

Passport

My cousin needs to authenticate his birth certificate because he’s planning to leave the country by the start of the coming year. He didn’t have much time to do it so he just requested it online to save him his precious time. If he will not prepare the necessary documents for his passport his impending trip abroad will be delayed so he’s doing all efforts to complete them. I’m lucky that he didn’t asked me to do those things for him because I might not be able to refuse him and as it is I have lots of things to do by the end of this year. Lucky!

Preparations for the Camp

>> Sunday, October 26, 2008

I’ve prepared the list of menu for our upcoming camp meeting fellowship this December. Hubby and daughter Ruth helped me plot the order graph in the big whiteboard detailing the families and individuals in line with the menu for listing orders from them. In this way we can calculate how many meals are we going to prepare and cook for the whole church. Our setting in the December camp will going to be a cooking for the whole camp and not per family which is a much better setup for me.

We’re doing an early preparation of our camp meeting in December including the list of ministers who will share God’s word, the activities of the youth and kids, our transportation and travel to the venue, the musical instruments that we’re going to bring and the essential things that we must bring per family for our three-day stay in Villa Dominga Forest and Resort Camp Site

My Home Office

I’m starting to sketch renovation plans I’m going to do with our living room because I’m planning to put up a mini-office after my resignation in my work. I’m going to use the office for my outsource job, my blogging and for some accounting works on my store. It’s exciting to plan everything that relates to your dreams even if I have few months more before I can finally start this. Important thing is how I can fit my home office in a perfect location in my house. Of course I would want a cozy environment where I can have the convenience of a home environment in an office. That’s a lovely idea.

Josh’ Costume Party

>> Saturday, October 25, 2008

Josh enjoyed his costume party at school yesterday. He was telling his grandma (my mom) that it was really fun playing games with his classmates wearing different costumes. I accompanied him on this school activity and I saw that kids were really happy especially when they play Trip to Jerusalem and Group Yourselves games. Actually it’s their teachers who count and grouped them in because they seem to just wander about the circle never minding the number counting lol! Lucky I’m not their teacher because it requires a lot of patience.

Josh and his friend Carl won in the first game that they played so they’re happy enough that early in the program they have prizes already. In the succeeding games after that they just played lightly never really taking the games seriously. Josh was even asking me to pull him out of the group yourselves’ game when he saw the ice cream cart, he’s really a lover of ice cream.

It’s nice that the program lasted for only one hour after almost 30 minutes of waiting for other kids to arrive. The heat was scorching outside the school compound and I nearly fainted because I just came from sickness. Anyway as we reached our house and Josh was energetically telling his stories to granny I felt happy too. Here are some pics!

Busy Schedule

>> Friday, October 24, 2008

I’ve got plenty of work and school activities today so I filed a leave from work yesterday. Since I filed my resignation last May of this year and was requested to extend my stay in the office for when I still don’t know I was allowed to take a day off my whole week work to cope with my busy schedule.

I’ll accompany Josh to school for their costume party, a little bit early for the Halloween but it’s their last day today so that explains it. I have other scheduled work that need immediate attention and I also have to check on some diet pills for a friend so my leave of absence will be a lot of help for me. Also I need to rest as I’ve had colds, cough and fever last couple of days and have rested at home for one day only because I can’t file successive leave of absence at one time.
