Pastor's Birthday

Our Pastor in the church celebrated his birthday today and we took our leave of absence to greet and see him on his special day. We cooked everything in their house. It’s me who did the steamed tilapia with mayo, grated cheese and fried garlic powder, my favorite actually. The ministers bought cake and cooked 10 kilos lechon kawali, the most in-demand food. All sisters are in-charge of other foods like white pancit, siomai and the fish that I prepared.

We didn’t only come for the birthday greetings but for the sharing or words as well. We know that Pastor was very happy with our presence because I’ve seen it in his eyes the happiness of having his family, brethren and friends on his special day.

Missing My Bes

Grabbed this pic from Joy dear, sister of my bestfriend JennyL. It just striked me this morning that I really miss her. Because of my very hectic schedule I missed my every other Saturday visit to her which I oftenly do when I'm free.

It's nice that these days we have our instant messaging through yahoo messenger which gave us time to chat online even if we're on our work. If I want to update what's happening to her in details I just visit her 5 sites, actually it's her 3 domains that I frequently visits, Slice of Life (her main blog), Jenny Said So for her photos that I love seeing and This and That Online - her shopping blog.

And as always If I really want to hear her voice and we both have free time I call her. Talking to her on the phone is still the best.

GSP and Malling

Finally we've visited the SM branch in Taytay and it's because the activity of my girls' Girl Scout was held there. It was a GSP All Age Activities that's why the management have under estimated the capacity of the SM event center to accommodate all Girl Scouts from Rizal and in other towns of Metro Manila near Rizal. We usually held our program in Pasig capitol because the place there is so big it can be used for large function
activities.

Anyway since it's in the mall the kids were so happy not just in girl scouting but also in the thought of strolling after the activities. True to their thoughts I really let them roam , stroll and eat wherever they want so they can relax and have some bonding with them. We've visited shops catering to kids like National Bookstore, Precious Pages, Quantum, we even looked at Lumanog musical instruments because Gen was eyeing Lyre and Guitar instrument. I just stopped at some surplus and garments store. Final destination was at SM hypermart to do some grocering and marketing. We're all very happy and tired when we finally reached home.

Mat and Josh

Mat visited us together with his Mom & Dad (my brother and SIL). We’re always excited whenever we saw him because we didn’t see him on a daily basis and he’s such a very active and smart kid. Josh and Mat were very fond of each other and every time they see each other they play endlessly and with much eagerness for each other’s frolics. This time they ran and ran and played rough, they almost circled the whole running and laughing all the way from terrace to kitchen. When they played ball we asked them to move away from lights and vases. Actually we can’t concentrate on what we’re discussing and I just turned my attention to these two little funny boys. I asked them to stop awhile and pose for me because I want a picture of them together. They easily gave in and posed but I had a hard time as they kept on moving all along the pictorial. Boys are boys really!

BT&T-DSI Seminar

We had a somewhat different seminar this time and it's titled Experience Exchange workshop. Instead of our usual seminar for BT&T only with ADB-assigned staff as our attendees this time we had it with our sister company Design Science Inc. employees. Workshop started at 8:30 and finished at 5:00pm leaving some beautiful thoughts in our hearts about maintaining a good relationship with colleagues and the company we worked for.

In Experience exchange workshop we realized and shared the best things in our work. During the seminar we started getting to know each other's views, opinions on the meaning and relevance of integrity and stewardship in the workplace. The goals of this seminar-workshop is to help us understand the importance of others in our lives, we need them because no man is an island. We must have a good working relationship for us to get our job done more effectively, it's very important in our work life. Coming to office Mondays to Fridays 8-5 becomes like a habit to us but we never understand our real purpose and the basic key to a successful workmanship and this workshop has taught us and made us realized that working is not only earning but it's also exchanging experience.

The mission of our workshop guru Mr. Danny Carreon and our employer Sir Bob is for us to be a committed men and women of action. This is to make us value good stewardship in our workplace and apply all that we learned in doing our jobs.
