He's First!

I called the house to check on Josh and to ask if the graduation materials were there already. Since I can't be on leave for two consecutive days I asked Josh' school service to get his toga and program for Friday's graduation. The kids were not notified verbally about the lineup of outstanding students and we were told to just wait for the program copy to know everything about the ceremony.

I was happy to know and somewhat excited when Mom told me that Josh got the first place in their kinder class, WOW! Even Josh was so excited when he told me, actually he's really waiting for the list because he wanted to receive a medal again this year just like last year. Congrats Josh dear! We thanked God for this!

:Today's Flowers #31

This is another color of my entry in my other blog 'Moments of my Life' where I posted the red variety of this flower, this photo was taken at our backyard while the others were from my cousin's garden where he has more bountiful blooms of this kind. This flower has a thorny body but not as hard as that of roses thorns. What's different in these kinds are their big long leaves complementing petite blooms, makes a lot of contrast, isn't it?

: Food Friday - Max's Lumpiang Shanghai

You can see here the Max's resto lumpiang shanghai, one of their specialty in the store. What I liked about their lumpiang shanghai is their beautiful presentation, see how they made a bowl out of lumpia wrapper. This is a shot from my niece' wedding reception where we had chicken, pancit. chopsuey, lumpia and dessert.

Personalized Gift Cards

Gift card represents the personality of the giver and I enjoy doing gift cards when it comes to my kids’ gift to their friends and classmates. I always have time to do personalized gift card bearing my kids’ names for special touch.

Last holiday season I did a hundred personalized gift cards with simple and cute designs befitting the whole family identity. For my girls I chose pretty character designs and for hubby and me I picked some simple ones. Of course my Josh wouldn’t be left off as I’ve chosen his favorite hero characters. I hope the person we’re giving gifts will appreciate the effort and hope they keep it too. Since I was a child I always keep the gift cards that go with the gifts. It’s my way of remembering those thoughtful friends and family that gave me special gifts.

This drumset lasted for years now but still it serves the whole church during the praising. Well we're planning to replace it once we can afford to buy a new one. It's actually given by my brother few years back.

Securing yourself and your family takes a lot of perseverance and money. Security covers not only health and money but life as well. People differ in their perspective of being secured. Some have much insurance on their properties, others on health and personal things and most I know gets life insurances to insure that when they leave this world their loved ones will not worry about money.

I was told by a friend that she got a really good deal when she browsed for online term life insurance quotes. This way she was able to compare prices and led her in getting a competitive price. Well that’s their opinions in securing their life, as for me the best insurance ever is following God’s path, rest assured you’ll have your lifetime and life after death insurance.

: Food Friday - Orange and Shrimps

This is a beautiful arrangement of orange, shrimps and other veggies. It’s actually one of the decorative foods laid on my boss' wedding buffet table. It’s perfectly done and I loved it! I would have loved to do these things also – that of making foods not only a stomach’s delight but for the eyes as well. It’s very artistic and anyone would love to see their table with decorations like these.

Finally A Replacement!

I’m having a hard time arranging my things in my office. I have to put away all unnecessary files so my turn over would be much easier. Three weeks ago I finally found someone who will replace me. I was the one who personally examined and interviewed her so I’ll know if she’s capable of the duties that she’ll be handling. This time we hired an Accounting graduate with few years experience in all accounting areas. I liked her on site and I think she can manage to handle multi-tasking jobs that I’ll give to her.

Now I feel better that soon I can finally get on leaving my work in BT&T and just work on a part-time basis. I can start some renovation on the house and arrange my things like documents, jewelry, photo albums and many other accessories. My work has really limited my time organizing my household so that’s my priority once I started my part-time job. I’ll have 3 days work in the office, 3 days in the house and 1 day for fellowship. I guess that’s good enough.

:WW - Green Pond In Business Area

This is the beautiful pond beside our office building. It's located in the middle od the busy business area near Eastwood in one vacant lot there where there are also flowering plants and beautiful bushes. A family is taking care of all the plants and flowers in the garden and making a living out of it. I just recently bought flowering plants for my Mom. Too sad the owner told them to vacate the land at the end of this month because they're going to construct a building there.
